How to Use Your Keefrash E-Ink Phone Case
Refresh your E-Ink cover in three simple steps — no battery, no cables, just NFC.
Before you start

Check your iPhone model
Make sure your iPhone model is listed on the product page as compatible with Keefrash.

Remove other metal cases
If you are using a metal bumper or magnetic mount, remove it before tapping the NFC area.

Enable NFC on your iPhone
On iPhone 13 and later, NFC is enabled by default. If you previously removed the NFC Tag Reader, go to Settings → Control Center → add “NFC Tag Reader” to ensure NFC works properly.

Step 2 · Choose or upload an image
Select a photo, illustration, or one of the preset templates, then crop and preview.

Step 3 · Refresh with a tap 'Projection'
Within 10–15 seconds, the image will be written to the E-Ink display and stays on without a battery.

Frequently asked questions
What kind of images look best on the display?
Keefrash’s E-Ink screen supports four colors: black, white, red, and yellow. Images that are closer to these four tones will produce the best visual results. High-contrast images with clear outlines and distinct color blocks tend to display the most beautifully.
Do I need to charge the case?
No. The case is powered by your phone’s NFC only during refresh. The image stays on the E-Ink screen without any battery.
Troubleshooting
My phone vibrates but the case doesn’t change.
Try moving your iPhone slower across the NFC logo, keep it within 1–2 cm, and make sure there is no thick metal case in between.
Refreshing works sometimes but not always.
Unlock your phone first, wake the screen, and tap the NFC logo in a quiet NFC environment (away from other tags or readers).
